CHATEAU DE GAVRAY

The "forest path" (symbol: the chessboard rock, then the wheel)

It leads from the rampart path to the rue du Moulin à Tan, at the foot of the hill, in the village of La Planche, a former district of craftsmen and tanners.

It was entirely created in the 1980s by a team of volunteers, during the development of a "fitness trail". Winding through the wooded slopes of the hill, it offers beautiful views of the valley but can be difficult to navigate due to a steep drop-off.

From the rue du Moulin à Tan, you can reach the centre of Gavray on the left.

The village of La Planche, at the foot of the hill, on the banks of the Bérence. The Berence Valley.
The castle hill, seen from the village of La Planche. The Great Granite Book, rue du Moulin à Tan.
